Yes. Calls are a minimum of 30 seconds
Is there any monthly service charge? Yes. For 800 numbers in the USA and Canada, there is a $2.95 per month service charge. There is also a service charge from 800 numbers in other countries. To see that charge, click here.
Can I request a "vanity number" like 8xx-crhotel? Yes. You can request this in the Comments section of the Secure Order Form. It is based, of course, on availability. If we are successful, there is an additional one time charge of $25.00. If we are no, there is no charge.
What if I move, travel or just want my calls to go to another number? Easy! Just log in to your control panel and change the number. Your 800 service can follow you ANYWHERE in the world no matter where you live or where you travel.
Is the a minimum amount I must use my 800 number each month? No, BUT, if you do not use it at all for 60 days, your 800 number is CANCELLED.
What if I do not use my 800 number? If you do not log ANY calls to you for 60 days, your number is cancelled. There is no cancellation charge.
I do not have a credit card, or I do not wish to use one. Can I still get a number? Yes. You can deposit funds in cash to pre-pay your usage. Contact Sales for more information.
Is having an 800 number legal in Costa Rica? Yes.
Do you use voice over IP or an Internet connection for these calls? No. We use circuits provided by AT&T, MCI, and Sprint.
Very! But saying that, we also will mention that, at times, there are not a sufficient number of incoming lines available to Costa Rica, and your caller may get a busy signal. You should simply mention to callers that if lines are busy, try again in a few minutes.
When my customer calls, a voice tells them to please wait while the call is being connected. Why? This is because it can sometimes take 10-20 seconds to make the connection and ring your phone. While 20 seconds sounds like very little time, it seems like a long time if your waiting, so we add that message so your caller does not think there is a problem and hang up.
Callback ServiceDo you also offer callback service? Yes. If you wish to add callback service to your account, please just check the box on your Secure Order Form.

You will request a callback using a secure web page on the Internet. About 15 seconds later, your phone will ring and you will be connected to your party.
They are the same as the 800 service; $.15 per minute to the USA. For other countries, contact Sales.
Callback service allows you to call anywhere in the world FROM Costa Rica at extremely reduced rates. A simple way to view this is that you are actually making a conference call from the USA at low USA calling rates. You request this conference call over the Internet. You enter your login and password and the phone number you wish to call. TWO calls are then made. The first is to YOU here in Costa Rica. The second is to the person you are calling. The two are then conferenced together by computer. In essence, you are paying low US rates to make the call.
